We’re getting married!
France, anyone?
You are joyfully invited to our whimsical—and extremely extra—wedding week at Château de Varennes in Burgundy, France!
Sounds amazing! But if it’s at Château de Varennes then why the heck do I keep seeing “Château Ma Mie” everywhere??? Well, we wanted to come up a with special name for this celebration and “ma mie” means my beloved but it also directly translates to “the softest bit of bread,” and that’s exactly what we are to each other and what all of you are to us. The very best bits of a perfectly crusty baguette!
And ohhh are we all about to have a lot of incredible baguettes, that is if you are willing to fly 6,000 miles to come celebrate with us in the French countryside!
So, What’s The Plan?
June 9th
Welcome!
Welcome to the Château! Check in here, or at your hotel, then come explore the property and join us for cocktails and dinner in the Lavender Fields!
Dress Code: Colorful Cocktail
Check-In: 3pm
Dinner: 6pm
June 11th
Pink Pool Party
Brunch: 11am
Pool Party: 12pm
Pizza Dinner: 7pm
Don your cutest pink bikini and hang out pool-side for the French hangover brunch of your dreams, complete with crêpe and omelette stations!
Dress Code: Pink, Duh!
Château de Varennes
Accommodations (for most)
& Main Venue
Luckily the Château is enormous and the entire wedding party, our immediate families and many of our guests can fit inside the 22 gorgeous rooms! Once we receive all RSVPs we will let you know where you are staying and the Château will reach out for payment.
Each room is approximately €1350 for 3 nights, and includes all your food and drink for all 4 days! Plus there is an enormous pool, a tennis court, a playground for the kids (and the inebriated adults), a lavender field, and a guest kitchen that will be stocked with drinks and other French goodies!
All of the wedding events will be hosted here, and weather permitting (pray for sun!), will be outside. So ladies, ditch the stilettos for a chunkier heel!
Additional Accommodations
For our guests staying off-site, luckily there are many beautiful Bed & Breakfast’s and private homes for rent within walking distance ~ 2min - 10mins! Once all guests Rsvp we will contact you about outside hotels.
We have already been in contact with them and will work with you to secure accommodations.
Getting There!
The Château is located at 2 Rue de Bourgogne, 71270 Charette-Varennes, France. However, that address will take you to the back entrance. Please use this google maps pin to get to the guest entrance!
Best Option
Car Rental: We highly recommend renting a car in Paris and enjoying the beautiful 3.5 hour drive through the French countryside, plus you can more easily continue on your travels after… South of France anyone?!?
Other Options
Group Shuttle: If enough people are interested we can coordinate a round trip shuttle from Paris to the Château (departing Paris June 9th at 11am and returning the morning of June 12th). It will be approximately €100 per person, per way.
Train: There are direct trains from Paris (TGV) to either Chalon Station or Dole Station (2 hour ride) plus an additional 30+ minute cab ride. Please book your cab through the Château, as local taxi drivers can not be booked in advance and are often unreliable. The combination of train tickets and cab will be approximately €130 per person.
